Michelle Schroeder-Gardner is the CEO and founder of Making Sense of Cents.

Since she started this website in 2011, Making Sense of Cents has reached more than 20 million readers. She has also been featured in major publications such as Forbes, CNBC, Time, Reader’s Digest, Oprah, and Business Insider. You can see everywhere she has been featured and quoted on the press page.

She started Making Sense of Cents to document her own journey towards financial freedom (one example – due to this, she was able to pay off $38,000 in student loans in 7 months) and to share her insights and tips on personal finance, budgeting, and making money.

Her student loan debt was a big reason why she started this blog. She was trying a bunch of different ways to make extra money, and she started highlighting them here on Making Sense of Cents.

She also has a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance, which has helped her better understand personal finance, side hustles, and starting a business.

She is passionate about empowering people to take control of their finances and live the life they want.

She writes about personal finance, how to make extra money, working from home, passive income streams, and more.
